Ten years ago, the Queensland Social Enterprise Council was established as the first social enterprise peak body, to mobilise a grassroots movement of business for good in Australia. 

Last year, Brisbane played host to the Social Enterprise World Forum thanks to our friends at White Box Enterprises and the might of a combined community spirit, attracting the attention of a global audience.

So much has happened in the social enterprise movement in Queensland to get us to this moment. In 2023, we are counting the many thoughts, words and actions that have helped shaped this movement. Aligned with so many of the principles from Indigenous and First Nations Governance, our path has been guided by a multitude of intentional hands and it’s time to celebrate them all.

This year we will be collecting the stories that have forged our bonds across not just these past ten years, but right back to the heart of the hundreds of people who have supported a system’s change approach to build a regenerative future.

We will be gathering our community together to celebrate this important milestone Friday 12 May 2023.
